A celebration of Ruark’s heritage, Sabre-Rs have been exquisitely crafted and refined with the understanding of how materials and components combine to deliver musicality that you will enjoy endlessly.

For over 40 years Ruark’s ethos has been to design products that their design team would be proud to own. It was the company’s founders shared passion for sound that led son Alan, and father Brian O’Rourke to form Ruark Acoustics and launch their first loudspeaker called Sabre to great acclaim in 1985. Their latest Sabre-R speakers bring the Ruark Audio full circle to continue this mission, with a speaker that like the original, customers will enjoy for many years to come.

In true company style, their attention to detail is paramount and the Ruark Audio Sabre-R standmount speakers are as pleasing to the eye as they are to the ear. Hand-crafted and clad with finishes usually only found on fine furniture, the Sabre-R’s bring understated elegance to both classic and contemporary interiors. The veneers used also have true eco credentials, where sustainable woods are skillfully spliced and recomposed to resemble slow-growing hardwoods with unique and eye-catching grain patterns.

Creating a great sounding speaker is an art that can only be mastered through years of experience. Like a chef who can make your taste buds dance, the key is knowing the ingredients to use and how to best use them. The cabinets for the Ruark Sabre-R have been carefully tuned and optimised to provide ideal working conditions for their custom long-throw bass-mid drivers and endless hours have been spent fine tuning the crossovers, so a seamless transition between the drivers is attained. The end result are speakers with a remarkable musical performance that breathe zest and life into every song.
