Used Convergent Audio Tech. HiFi & Home Cinema For Sale

Convergent Audio Technology, commonly known as CAT, was founded in 1979 by Ken Stevens in the United States, where their valve amplifiers and preamplifiers continue to be hand-built in Rochester, New York. The brand has earned a devoted following amongst audiophiles who praise the natural, musical sound quality of their equipment, with reviewers consistently highlighting the exceptional transparency and dynamics that CAT products deliver. One particularly interesting aspect noted in recent reviews is how well these components age, with older models still competing favourably against modern high-end alternatives when properly maintained. Despite their stellar reputation, CAT products appear relatively infrequently on the second-hand market, partly due to limited production numbers and partly because owners tend to hold onto them for years, making good examples quite sought after when they do become available.
